My last post was in June - oh dear. I have had yet another busy summer holiday - but not in a good way (well, it hasn't been ALL bad). There's been an operation, an on-going recovery, a car crash (though nobody was badly injured), a death, and a funeral. I've also been on a (rainy) trip to London (pre-Olympics) and a (sunny) trip to Oxford, which was actually to do with University work - Huzah! I have also now purchased - a light-box, a graphics drawing tablet, and a new laptop. I have yet to have a good crack at using both the light and tablet. There's still the end of the Olympics, a family holiday, and a trip to the West End for my 21st birthday to come, then at some point, I'll look at my Holiday work list and fall over, then it'll be my birthday come September, then the start of my final year at University 0_o
P.S Going to the Bristol Balloon Fiesta tomorrow - will hopefully get lots of good photos!

Summer Events - 18th March 2012
As part of my Research Project (and for fun!) I've been looking at events and festivals I can go to. An event I became aware of last year and have mentioned to my family is Bristol International Balloon Fiesta - which will be on the 9th - 12th August. Since my hot air balloon flight with my mum two or so years ago, I've had an interest in ballooning, and to watch more than 100 take off at once sounds amazing!

Another type of event I've only recently found out about are Birdman Rallys. They happen across the world, and I've found two in the UK. One in Worthing on the South Coat, the other in Bognor. Again, they both sound like amazing spectacles - people in costumes and flying machines throwing themselves off piers, a competition of sorts, either for fun or for science! The Worthing event is on the 18th - 19th August, while the Bognor website isn't explicit in dates. (http://www.birdman.org.uk/go/page?Welcome)

These events are weather permitting of course, so here's hoping this year we'll have a nice warm summer! (ha!)
